Joining a SSEA Committee is a great way to get involved in our programs. Committee Members are asked to dedicate at least four hours per month to their committee goals.

Volunteers will help SSEA move forward with its business plan to open an environmental education center in downtown Olympia that focuses on the South Puget Sound and its estuaries. There are a variety of ways to get involved with SSEA: Community Outreach, Special Events, Fundraising/Development, Conceptual Design, Membership, Marketing, and Curriculum.  Currently, SSEA is recruiting for the following committees:

Development Committee: Volunteers will help plan SSEA’s major fundraising event, Cruising for the Sound, to be held in October. Volunteers will also work to develop additional fundraising and outreach events to be held in 2012 and beyond.

Membership: Help SSEA support membership functions and recruitment of new members.

Marketing:  Develop and distribute marketing materials for SSEA events and functions.
