Would you like to help people understand more about the natural wonders of the South Puget Sound? Your sponsorship of the SSEA’s Outreach Programs will do just that by helping to train more people to explain to our community members the mysteries of our marine ecology and the threats to it. Our programming reaches out to hundreds of people each year and we need your help to keep it going. - 27 Free Beach Naturalist Program dates at 4 local beaches
- 3,923 total contacts made on the beach
- 52 Beach Naturalists receiving 12 hours of training

How your support helps
- Funding will pay for a Beach Naturalist Volunteer to attend the training sessions and receive all training materials for free
- Purchase on-site equipment such as microscopes, nets, and collection materials to better engage the public
- Purchase safety equipment
- Purchase monitoring materials for Burfoot County Park monitoring project, data to be submitted to the University of Washington
- Purchase volunteer identification items such as hats, T-shirts, and vests
- Program coordination support
